Gabrielle
Boudreau started learning Chinese martial arts in 1973 after practicing
Hatha Yoga for several years.
She joined the Kai Leung Kung Fu Institute in 1977 and became Sifu Kai Leung's assistant two years later. In this capacity she began teaching Kung Fu and Tai Chi in Montreal's Chinatown.
In 1981, Gabrielle became the co-founder of the Chinese Cultural Association of the Kai Leung Institute and coordinated the Confucius Festival. From 1990, she also taught martial arts in Canadian penitentiaries, including teaching to inmates undergoing drug rehabilitation programs for a period of eight years.
Since Sifu Kai Leung's passing in 1992, she became the first Quebecoise to teach the traditional Lion and Dragon Dances.
Sifu Gabrielle Boudreau's vast reputation has reached the television and film industry, where she occasionally teaches martial arts choregraphy. Over the past twenty five years, she has trained thousands of students. She carries on the mission of the Association.
